Big Brother is back and we get treated to an All-Star edition this summer. Twenty contestants from the past 6 seasons have been brought back, from which 12 will actually get to go in the BB house. We, the viewers, get to vote in 6 and the producers of the show will pick the other 6. As you can see from the title of this post, all of my votes are going to Monica, who is my absolute favorite BB player ever.
Monica was from Season 2 (the season where Evil Dr. Will won). She made it as far as the final 3 but got evicted when Nicole won the final HOH and chose to take Will over Monica to the final 2. Monica was this sassy black chick who is from Brooklyn and I swear, watching her made me see how I would be if I were on BB. *laugh*
She made the phrase "It's ON!" famous and she kept it real. She made the show interesting and you actually found yourself rooting for her because she wasn't all about backstabbing and lying. She didn't fly under the radar, either. She was just Monica...she told you how she felt and she didn't mince words. In the other words, Homegirl was on fire and I loved it!
I actually had the pleasure of meeting Monica once, about 5 months after Season 2 ended. I saw her at the Alicia Keys concert at Radio City Music Hall. She actually took the time to talk to me for a bit and I have to say, this woman is fabulous.
So please, I plead with you, fellow readers, if you can, swing some votes Monica's way. If she makes it into the house, you will not be disappointed.

With all the hype about reality TV, I was wondering what you think of the show Dragon's Den (where you get to watch entrepreneurs try to convince VCs to invest money in their businesses or inventions); do you think it could be as exciting as big brother and some of the others? or are the entrepreneurs not on TV enough to really get to know them? I know the show did well in australia and england; the only reason I've heard of it is because CBC is taping a Canadian version that will air in October. If you haven't heard of it, there's a Mentor Capitalist (Sean Wise) helping with the production who's keeping a blog: www.insidethedragonsden.com; I think it will be interesting to see how the show goes, mostly because entrepreneurs can be pretty excentric and full of energy.
